We want your opinion! A new feature has been added: vote on the upward or downward trend of a player’s market value on their profile page.
Is Victor Froholdt of FC Porto going to see his value continue to climb? What about global stars like Lamine Yamal of Barcelona or Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid? Starting now, you can vote on the expected direction of a player’s market value with a simple click on their Transfermarkt profile. The new functionality allows users to predict whether a player’s valuation will increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.
On the mobile version of Transfermarkt, this feature appears just below the player’s market value evolution chart on their profile. On the desktop version, you’ll find it on the right-hand side of the player’s page. Voting on market value requires no registration on the site—whether you’re a regular user or a casual visitor, every vote counts and is taken into account on the athlete’s profile.
Market values: Transfermarkt’s criteria. With a single click on the corresponding button, all users can share their opinion. Deliberately, no specific value is requested, as the more detailed debate about market values continues in our market value analysis forum. You’ll find the relevant link on each player’s profile.
“This feature implements something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” says Artjom Zavodnyk, Transfermarkt’s market value coordinator. “On one hand, it helps our administrators determine market values, but above all, it gives our users the chance to participate even more actively in the analysis. The goal is to spark interest in well-founded participation in market value analysis. We hope that after initial experiences, many users will actively join the debates, thereby contributing to even higher quality in determining player valuations,” he added.
