The Albacete player spoke about his recent goal-scoring role, saying, “I’ve played further forward and adapted to a new position. I used to play there a long time ago, so I have those instincts and know what to do in those situations. The ball came to me, and then you have to put it in. I helped the team, and that’s what matters.”
On reaching the 50-point milestone, he added, “We’re all very happy. Securing mathematical survival with four games left is a huge achievement.”
When asked about his future, he responded, “I’ll tell you the same thing: I’m very happy here, but it’s not up to me. I have another year on my contract with PAOK, and we’ll see what happens. I’ve felt very comfortable in Albacete. There are always ups and downs, but I’m very content.”
Regarding the upcoming match against Cultural Leonesa, he said, “We always have maximum motivation. We want to get as many points as possible. We represent a city and we’re professionals. We know that for them, this might be their last chance to fight for survival. We have to go out focused, be professional, and aim to win.”
On teammate Alberto González, the player commented, “I see him calm. The whole team has enjoyed having him around. The season we’ve had is a result of the manager’s work.”
Discussing motivation until the end of the season, he stated, “Now that the team is safe, you can go to the stadium, be more relaxed, and watch the show without nerves. You can also see the foundation of next year’s project.”
Finally, speaking about his time in Spain, he noted, “I’ve been very comfortable here. Of the four years I’ve been in Europe, three have been in Spain. I’ve adapted more easily. We’ll see what happens, but I’m not closing the door on returning to Greece. I have one more year on my contract there.”
