The Galician club has provided video evidence and a sequence of photos, along with citing precedents, to prove Yeremay’s innocence. The incident occurred in the first half when the Canary-born player entered the box and made contact with a defender from behind. Referee Arcediano Monescillo not only refused to award a penalty, deeming the contact insufficient for a foul, but also booked Yeremay. In the same match, a similar situation involving Antoñito in Deportivo’s area was noted.
Dépor, who arrived at the match with seven players on the brink of suspension, currently loses both their number 10 and Lucas Noubi due to yellow-card accumulation.
