On May 10, the final round of the 2026 Shanghai “A Table Tennis Rumble” Table Tennis Carnival Baoshan District Qualifier concluded successfully at Longfor Shanghai Baoshan Tianjie. After multiple group stage matches and intense knockout rounds, four strong teams—Baoping Table Tennis Club, CIMC Jindi Plaza, Gaojing Zongheng Feisu, and Shanghai University—stood out to vie for the championship, delivering an exhilarating and passionate feast of table tennis for local residents with their exceptional skills and vibrant spirit.

The finals adopted a tense knockout system. In the semifinals, Baoping Table Tennis Club faced a tough battle against CIMC Jindi Plaza. Both sides displayed swift attacks and defenses, with the score seesawing back and forth. Relying on steady performance and key point execution, Baoping Table Tennis Club defeated their opponents 8:3 to advance to the final. In the other semifinal, Shanghai University took on Gaojing Zongheng Feisu. Players engaged in thrilling multi-stroke rallies and powerful smashes, earning applause from the audience. Shanghai University also won 8:3, setting the stage for a championship clash.

In the championship final, Baoping Table Tennis Club faced Shanghai University. The mixed doubles match ignited the atmosphere with a tight score and intense action. Subsequent men’s and women’s singles matches showcased the athletes’ composure and fighting spirit. Ultimately, Baoping Table Tennis Club triumphed with an 8:0 victory, claiming the championship of the Baoshan District Qualifier. Shanghai University secured second place, while CIMC Jindi Plaza and Gaojing Zongheng Feisu tied for third.

The awards ceremony was grand, with薛飒飒, Deputy District Mayor of Baoshan, and officials from the District Sports Bureau, District Federation of Trade Unions, and Baoshan State-owned Investment Group presenting medals to the winning teams and expressing gratitude to event sponsors.

The Baoshan District qualifier kicked off on April 18, covering all 12 towns and streets, with 33 teams and 330 table tennis enthusiasts participating. The event innovatively combined sports with shopping districts, being held at four major commercial hubs: Shanghai World at Sea, Baoshan Sun Moonlight Center, CIMC Meilanhu Jindi Plaza, and Longfor Shanghai Baoshan Tianjie. The finals also featured a table tennis carnival interactive zone with games like table tennis throws, fun ball gripping, and immersive experiences.
